About Me:
I am a midwesterner, born and raised in the Metro Detroit, Michigan area. Growing up I was even a Boy Scout who made Eagle. The values I learned as a Christian and as a Scout serve as my foundational values even today.

At the age of 23 I was elected to the Board of Trustees of Macomb County Community College, here in Michigan. I became the youngest elected community college trustee in the nation. Served for six years, during that time I was also appointed by the State Board of Education to serve, along with the Governor, on an advisory council on Higher Education

When I was 21 I opened my first business. Sold and serviced telephone answering machines - before they were sold over the counter in retail stores. After that other business adventures led me into the fields of printing, advertising publications, mailing services, typesetting and consulting.

Sunny California called to me during the 80's. While living in LA I entered the field of business brokerage, where we sold existing businesses. Later on I started doing business consulting and turn around.

A fun Hollywood adventure was when I had the opportunity to work as a production assistant on a video about shooting pool. It was a great experience to see from the inside how films are made. If you sit through the credits till the end you will see my name ... ah Hollywood fame.

After my return to Michigan, I realized the impact personal computers were having on business, and I knew very little about them. Bought one, cussed at it a lot ... it would not do what I wanted it to do (DOS was not user friendly). Before I realized it, I had entered into consulting on computers and accounting programs. Even wrote a couple of specialized software programs for a couple of my clients.

As I thought about moving back to the Southwest, I realized the limitations of traditional small business and the lack of portability of them. As I further reflected upon small business ownership, I recalled how few really owned their business, in reality, the business owned them. Far too often they toiled at an hourly rate which was far less than if they had gone to work for someone else.

At that point my quest became not only to start a business that would give me the portability that I desired, but also the time and financial freedom that I felt should go along with having your own business.

In these last several years, I have become involved in and more importantly, a student of network marketing and of the internet. I have listened to countless speakers and read numerous books about how easy it is and that anybody can do it... yet only 5% succeed and 95% fail. I've brought friends into the business, watched them make an honest effort only to be let down by the system and fail. This was not acceptable.

Far to often in network marketing I found the mentality of the old vacuum sales companies. They would run ad's, hire anyone that came through the door, teach them a demo about the vacuum cleaner and then as part of their "training", have them go and practice on friends and family. They knew that 95% would fail, but at least make a couple of sales from selling family members. Those few that took off then became the success stories that the new recruits were told about.

I abhor this type of mentality. Those that come into network marketing generally come in with a sincere desire and dream to make a difference in their life and the lives of their family. They deserve better.

Unfortunately the odds are against them, they have not been raised to be entrepreneurs or marketers. They have been told to go to school, get a good education so you can get a good job (and make somebody else rich). The schools and colleges have re-enforced this as they teach the skills necessary so that you can go out and get a good job (and make someone else rich).

In my experience in business, traditional and home based, I have seen the strong desire for the independence of being your own boss. I have also seen first hand through my experience in education how we do not train people to be entrepreneurs. We do not teach the mind set or the skills necessary.

I firmly believe in the free enterprise system. I also sincerely believe that network marketing and the internet today offers the best chance for people to fulfill their dream of independence. That is why I am dedicated to providing the training and systems to help people reach their chosen destiny.
